January Meeting

Kevin-Ciabatti_Captioned

By now, all Cedar Rapids landlords have received your letter regarding fee increases. Even though this is the first increase in eight years, many of us have questions.  Why is this necessary? Will services change? What exactly does Building Services do when they’re not inspecting my property?

Kevin Ciabatti, Director of Building Services,  John Riggs, Housing, Zoning and Nuisance Manager, and Alan Pansegrau, Chief Housing Inspector, will present our program Thursday, January 11,  noon at the Longbranch.  This will be a busy week for them, as they are also hosting open houses for property owners on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at the City Services Center.  The letter you received has the details of the open houses.

At our meeting, The discussion will include Fees, Landlord Training, Inspections, Complaints and Violations, Appeals, and more.

The buffet for our room will be ready after 11:30, and our meeting will begin at noon.  Be sure to register at the link below, as we need to give the Longbranch an accurate count for food and seating.

See you all on Thursday!
